Ashland Beautification Council

Volunteers Needed!

Do you have 2-4 extra hours per month between May and September to help your community? If so, the members of the Ashland Beautification Council could really use your help!

A few of the ways you could get involved:
š Attend our Volunteer events typically held for two hours one Friday and one Saturday each month with a couple extra mornings for spring clean-up in May. As the saying goes, “Many hands make light work” and of course, weeding is always more fun if you are doing it with a fun group of people! And no green thumb required…all gardening experience levels welcome!

š Adopt a garden section to work at your own pace and on your own schedule. Right now, we have an immediate need for two spots on Ellis Avenue along with possible spots in Pearson Plaza. Most of these gardens are established perennials beds so the tasks typically include weeding, deadheading spent flowers, mulching every other year along with a little extra clean-up in the spring and fall.

š Attend our monthly meetings to learn about other ways you can participate. We are a 9 member council that typically meets the first Monday of the month at 6 pm. Visitors and fresh ideas are always invited!!
